The 4th Bicycle Conference will be held in Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona) from October 4 to 6. This biannual conference aims at boosting bicycle use and developing policies, infrastructures and debates for the promotion of cycling and better cycling conditions. In the context of the current economic and social crisis, the conference focuses in two main topics: bicycle as a growing economic sector and strategies for the promotion of bicycle at the local level.

Despite the crisis, or perhaps thanks to the crisis, the number of bicycles in the streets has increased. Therefore, we believe it is important to support this growth and to explore business opportunities in the sector: new services and products that contribute to improving cycling and to the creation of jobs. We should not forget bicycle collateral benefits both for health and for the environment. The Conference programme aims at highlighting opportunities in the bicycle sector and sharing good practices. There will be streaming and interpretation into 4 languages (Catalan, Spanish, English and French) in order to reach as many of you as possible.

We will also have the opportunity to cycle and discover Sant Cugat and Collserola, a very popular spot for bicycle users due to its beauty and special features.
